Tantra Truths

Tantra isn’t a destination, nor is it even a path. Instead, it is a journey. A journey might lead to different places than you planned. I have watched people on a path get waylaid by health, love, loss. begin one thing and end up in a totally different place. It is natural to have a destination in mind with life. We are trained to have goals and plans. It is natural to picture your life a certain way. That can be as simple as having the right look to being as complex as having the right family or feeling a certain way about yourself. Usually, our life doesn’t look like what we have imagined.

However, when the deepest aspects of our authentic self become and earliest knowledge of others shape our lives. This can be for good or not as good depending on our earliest imprinting. Outliers are always with us, but they are outliers and not a part of the usual human experience, and they can’t be used to prove any point other than that is what their life looks like. Tantra is about the human experience of life.

Tantra takes in all of existence and has a non-dualistic approach, which is an acceptance of all things as they are. What is—is. As I am not an expert on non-dualism, it is an aspect of Buddhism that is open for the reader to explore.

What I do know is that the more you practice the clearer the concepts become. There are no other deeper teachings than what I have given, a deeper knowledge occurs through practice and presence.

Deeper knowledge comes from practice with a deep sense of awareness and presence, both with the breath and the meditations. The awareness connects you to other truths and knowledge or gives a deeper understanding.

Through tantric sex you can touch the very essence of your partner. This doesn’t happen overnight, nor does it happen with every partner. It happens when the breath is mastered, the central channel is clear of any emotional blockages, and you are

with the right person. But it can happen very time if you choose to make each encounter a tantric experience.

Even in solo practice, a person can touch the divine energy of the universe and bring that more fully into their body, which changes the mind. I differ from many other teachers in that I do not look for peak experiences in meditation or sex. I seek a calm sense of unity with my partner or the Universe. Peak experiences can’t be maintained. Equanimity however is obtainable and, in my mind, a more desirable state of being.

My goal is to take a holistic approach to Tantra. One that incorporates the body, the mind, and the spirit. Each are important in obtaining the most desirable tantric experience.

If we just engage the body, we are left feeling empty after sex. If just the mind and emotions are engaged, we can be left feeling unsatisfied. The spiritual level can only be achieved through the engagement and awareness of both the body and emotions.

If the tools you have been given, pleasure, touch, breathing and meditation can be incorporated daily even if for only ten minutes, change will take place. Change that lasts is always evolutionary not revolutionary.
